Studio Y is an educational experiment designed to develop youth with proven leadership abilities. Through a fellowship supported by the Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services, Studio Y equips 25 high performing youth each year with the tools to continue to build their leadership skills. Launched in 2014, Studio Y is expanding to become a national network that not only molds young leaders, but prototypes a new way of learning.

Vision:
Today’s complex challenges require a new type of leadership.
Leveraging the MaRS ecosystem, we are the platform that supports young people to become top-performing systems leaders.

This is how we are building a more sustainable economic and social future.

Background:
In 2014, Studio Y established a fully-funded fellowship that equips high-performing young leaders with the skills they need to scale their impact and develop solutions.

Studio Y is a platform for youth leadership and innovation across Canada. Our fellowship is the foundation that we are built on.

Fellowship Purpose:
The Studio Y Fellowship exists to develop high-performing young systems leaders who will make bold economic and social impact while fostering innovation in Canada.

Systems leaders are able to understand challenges at the systems level, lead through influence, connect stakeholders across systems, and innovate new systems interventions.
